I know I have written about the role that technology is playing in the restaurant industry.  And it only keeps growing.  Today, consumers consider technology options a given and not a novelty.  It is now a major player when deciding what restaurant to go to.

The other big trend for the restaurant industry in 2015, centers on lifestyle choices. Consumers are more particular as to where their food comes from, choosing local, environmentally friendly, and or organic options.  8 out of 10 consumers showed more interest in locally sourced items, showing a growth from last year when it was 7 out of 10. Last year, 64 percent of consumers said they would more likely visit a restaurant that offered locally produced food items. This year that answer grew by 5 percent.
